Current fuel prices and prediction

• The current average price for regular unleaded fuel in Sydney is 237.4 cents per litre (Monday afternoon)
• Average regular unleaded prices are expected to fall the mid 230 cents per litre over the coming week due to falling wholesale prices.
• Sydney’s current average diesel price at 285.1 cents per litre.
• Regional Prices: Last week average prices for regular unleaded rose 3.0 cents per litre and diesel prices rose 2.8 cents per litre.

World Crude Oil Prices

Over the previous week the average:

• Crude price fell 0.7 cents per litre.
• Unleaded price benchmark fell 1.6 cents per litre.
• Diesel price benchmark fell 13.5 cents per litre.

Sydney Wholesale Prices

Over the previous week the average for:

• Regular unleaded fell 1.1 cents per litre to 231.8 cents per litre.
• Diesel fuel fell 11.7 cent per litre to 267.5 cents per litre.

Sydney Diesel Prices

Sydney diesel price has fallen 1.0 cents per litre to 285.1 cents per litre. 

Looking Ahead

Average regular unleaded prices are expected to fall the mid 230 cents per litre over the coming week due to falling wholesale prices.

Average regular unleaded prices – 237.4 cents per litre – have risen 85.2 cents per litre since 30 June.

The average price increase for E10, Premium 95 and Premium 98 are as follows:

• E10 – 235.9 cents per litre have risen 84.8 cents per litre since 30 June.
• Premium 95  – 255.1 cents per litre have risen 86.4 cents per litre since 30 June.
• Premium 98  – 262.9 cents per litre have risen 85.7 cents per litre since 30 June.

Sydney’s current average diesel price at 285.1 cents per litre. Prices have risen 108.8 cents per litre since 30 June. Diesel prices are expected to decrease this week in line with falling wholesale prices.

The current average LPG price in Sydney is 115.4 cents per litre – up 0.2 cents per litre this past week.
