Current fuel prices and prediction

• The current average price for regular unleaded fuel in Sydney is 218.3 cents per litre (Monday afternoon).
• Average regular unleaded prices have fallen 8.3 cents per litre.
• Current average diesel price is 318.1 cents per litre.
• Regional prices: Last week average prices for regular unleaded fell 8.1 cents per litre while diesel prices rose 9.6 cents per litre.

World Crude Oil Prices

Over the previous week the average:

• Tapis crude fell $US 5.6 per barrel to $US 109.1 per barrel.
• Mogas (unleaded price benchmark) fell $US 6.0 per barrel to $US 138.5 per barrel.
• Gasoil (diesel price benchmark) fell $US 24.0 per barrel to $US 229.5 per barrel.

Sydney Wholesale Prices

Over the previous week the average for:

• Regular unleaded fell 5.1 cents per litre to 198.8 cents per litre.
• Diesel fuel fell 5.8 cent per litre to 296.8 cents per litre.

Sydney Diesel Prices

Looking Ahead

Average regular unleaded prices have fallen 8.3 cents per litre. 

The direction of price movements going forward will be dependent on future wholesale price movements.

Average regular unleaded prices – 218.3 cents per litre - have risen 58.8 cents per litre from the previous the low point of the Sydney cycle (15 February 2026). 

The average price increase for E10, Premium 95 and Premium 98 are as follows:

• E10 – 216.1 cents per litre have risen 58.6 cents per litre from the last low point of the Sydney cycle.
• Premium 95 –  234.7 cents per litre have risen 58.3 cents per litre from the last low point of the Sydney cycle.
• Premium 98  –  243.4 cents per litre have risen 60.0 cents per litre from the last low point of the Sydney cycle.

Sydney’s current average diesel price is 318.1 cents per litre – up 9.1 cents per litre this past week.

The global benchmark Gasoil price continues to be quite volatile. The direction of price movements going forward will be dependent on future wholesale price movements.

The current average LPG price in Sydney is 114.0 cents per litre – up 1.2 cents per litre stable this past week.
