Current fuel prices and prediction

• The average price for regular unleaded fuel in Sydney is 175.0 cents per litre (Monday afternoon).
• Average regular unleaded prices have fallen 17.7 cents per litre this past week to 175 cents per litre today and are now expect prices to fall to the high-160s over the next 1-2 weeks.
• The average diesel price in Sydney is 191.8 cents per litre.
• Regional prices: Last week average prices for regular unleaded were stable and diesel fell 0.1 cents per litre.

World Crude Oil Prices

Over the previous week the average:

• Tapis crude fell $US 0.9 per barrel to $US 66.2 per barrel.
• Mogas (unleaded price benchmark) fell $US 0.6 per barrel to $US 80.5 per barrel.
• Gasoil (diesel price benchmark) fell $US 8.6 per barrel to $US 87.5 per barrel.

Sydney Wholesale Prices

Over the previous week the average:

• Regular unleaded fuel fell 0.7 cents per litre to 164.0 cents per litre.
• Diesel fuel fell 8.1 cents per litre to 168.9 cents per litre.

Sydney Diesel Prices

Sydney diesel prices fell 1.0 cent per litre this past week. Current average diesel price is 191.8 cents per litre.

Looking Ahead

Average regular unleaded prices have fallen 17.7 cents per litre this past week to 175 cents per litre today and are now expect prices to fall to the high-160s over the next 1-2 weeks.

Average regular unleaded prices in Sydney should range between 203 cents per litre (at the high point of the current cycle) and 169 cents per litre (at the low point of the current cycle).

The average price ranges for E10, Premium 95 and Premium 98 should be as follows:

• E10 – a high point of 202 cents per litre and a low point of 168 cents per litre.
• Premium 95 – a high point of 223 cents per litre and a low point of 187 cents per litre.
• Premium 98  – a high point of 227 cents per litre and a low point of 194 cents per litre

Sydney's current average diesel price is 191.8 cents per litre – down 1.0 cents per litre this past week.

The current average LPG price in Sydney is 113.0 cents per litre – up 0.1 cents per litre this past week.
