Sleep mere metres from the shore line or relax in private upscale villas, without worrying about your bank balance. As a My NRMA member you'll save an extra 10% on your booking in these iconic locations year-round.

Bali vibes at Airlie Beach, Queensland

Escape to south-east Asia without ever leaving the country in the villas at Airlie Beach Holiday Park. Choose from a single or two-storey and lap up the beach that’s just steps away from your door.

Best of the area: Spend your days exploring waterfalls and crystal-clear oceans, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, or you can even take a trip over to the Whitsunday Islands before returning to your private villa for a peaceful night’s rest.

A two story, dark wood villa, surrounded by trees, with a veranda on the second level and porch below. A flat hammock is tied off the side of the veranda onto a nearby tree.

Glamtainers at Jindabyne, New South Wales

The two-bedroom glamtainer at Jindabyne Holiday Park brings a new level of luxury to tiny living.

Everything you could need is in this slick, modern container home which even features an outdoor area where you can unwind after a day. With an indoor fireplace and storage for snow gear, you can guarantee this is a perfect alternative for budget conscious snow bunnies during the ski season.

Best of the area: Whether it’s a summer or winter trip, imbibe at the local breweries like Jindabyne Brewing and Kosciuszko Brewery to cap off a day full of adventure around the world-famous lakes and mountains.

You can also find glamtainers at Ocean Beach Holiday Resort, an easy 90-minute drive north of Sydney.

Beach Spa Villa at Murramarang, New South Wales

Get the gang together in your own private beach house at Murramarang, literally on the water’s edge. Spend the days whiling away your time on the deck with a good coffee and a book while you overlook the ocean. Indulge in even more relaxation by treating yourself to a soothing spa.

The only locals you'll have to share the space with are the kangaroos.

Best of the area: Murramarang is the perfect spot for hiking and bushwalking lovers. Discover the sensational Murramarang National Park and trek the three day South Coast Walk.

Two low-set beach houses in front of a sandy beach, two kangaroos graze on the grass in front of the houses, and a tall green hill is visible across the water.

The Safari Tent at Dubbo, New South Wales

If you love the wilderness but can’t quite afford that trip to Africa, try out the Safari Tent at Dubbo Holiday Park. It sleeps four and has a private car spot, and if the heat gets too much you can flick on the AC and enjoy a cooler climate while still dreaming of the Savannah.

Best of the area: During the day, use your My NRMA membership to enjoy discounted entry to Taronga Western Plains Zoo to spot rhinos, lions, and elephants for that real safari feel.

There’s also Safari Tents available at Woodgate Beach, Merimbula, and other NRMA Holiday Parks.

Lavish Beach Houses at Agnes Water, Queensland

Visit the incredibly named town of 1770 and stay at Agnes Water Holiday Park. For the same price as a hotel you’ll wake up to the gentle crashing of waves on your doorstep. This accommodation is for adults only so take a break from the kids (and other people’s kids) and lap up the serenity.

There’s hiking, snorkeling, and some amazing drinks all in the backyard of this beautiful coastal town.

Best of the area: July to October is whale watching season so take a pair of binoculars and watch migrating humpbacks teach their young to breach and tail slap, all while you enjoy the spectacular views of the ocean.

A dirt path opens to a beach and sea on the horizon, next to it are two beach houses on stilts, facing the water.

A little more lush

For those of us looking for something a little more extra, My NRMA still has you covered.

Pamper yourself at the recently opened Angourie Resort in Yamba with a day spa, pool bar, and two-bedroom villas to relax and recharge in.

Or for the ultimate indulgence, visit The Retreat at Pumphouse Point in Tasmania. The exclusive and contemporary private suite is hidden on the edge of the lake, hugged by native bush, and offers and all-inclusive wilderness experience.
