Meet our Motoring and Travel Journalist

Sam Charlwood is a journalist at the NRMA’s Open Road, covering motoring and travel. He joins following a 15-year career as a journalist and TV presenter, in roles varying from newspaper cadet, to NRL writer and host of Network 10’s national MotoGP coverage. Sam has always been fascinated by anything with wheels, so his 12-year tenure as a motoring journalist stands to reason. When he’s not testing cars or adventuring Australia, Sam enjoys staying active, riding his motorcycles and spending time with his wife and two kids.
