Charging instructions for existing members
How to charge: Follow the instructions below if you do not yet have the My NRMA app or jump to Step 2 if you already have the My NRMA app installed.
Step 1: Download and Sign up to use the My NRMA app
- Download the My NRMA app if you have not already done so.

- Open the app and select 'Sign in'.
- Sign in either with your Mobile number and a one-time-code sent to you via SMS OR via your member number and postcode.
Step 2: Open the Charging map and find a charger
- From the home screen of the app go to the ‘Services’ menu on the bottom of the screen and the ‘Charge now’ button will be visible in the ‘Cars & Driving’ tab.
- Go to the Menu on the top right and select ‘Account’ then ‘Payment Methods’. To add a credit card, scroll down and click the 'Add Payment Method' button at the bottom of the page. Note: This button may not be visible without scrolling to the bottom of the page.
- Enter your credit card details to be used for the charge session (you don’t need to do this every time).
- Use the map and the search box to find the charger you are interested in and select the pin on the map to open the charger screen.
- Select which EV plug you wish to use, connect your car to the charger and swipe to start the charge.
- When you are finished, simply swipe to stop the charge and unplug the charger from your vehicle.
Step 3: Accessing charging after the first time charger
- From the home screen of the app simply select the new button ‘EV Chargers. Find, charge, pay’.
