Charging instructions for new customers

How to charge: Follow the instructions below if you do not yet have the My NRMA app.

Step 1: Download and Sign up to use the My NRMA app

1. Download the My NRMA app

2. Open the app and select 'Join to charge my EV'.

3. Select the option you need: either electric vehicle charging access or My NRMA membership, which provides a 10% discount every time you charge.

4. Fill out the necessary information to create your account and then review your details and click ‘join now’.

5. Login to the app with your mobile number and a one-time-code sent to you via SMS.

Step 2: Open the Charging map and find a charger

1. From the home screen of the app select the ‘EV Chargers. Find, charge, pay’ button.

2. Go to the Menu on the top right and select ‘Account’ then ‘Payment Methods’. To add a credit card, scroll down and click the 'Add Payment Method' button at the bottom of the page. Note: This button may not be visible without scrolling to the bottom of the page.

3. Enter your credit card details to be used for the charge session (you don’t need to do this every time).

4. Use the map and the search box to find the charger you are interested in and select the pin on the map to open the charger screen.

5. Select which EV plug you wish to use, connect your car to the charger and swipe to start the charge.

6. When you are finished, simply swipe to stop the charge and unplug the charger from your vehicle.
