Your NRMA: Showing up to help everyday

Help is who we are at the NRMA
Helping drought afflicted farms

Turn on the TV or open a newspaper and you see new political infighting, royal commissions and a strange new era of politics globally and here at home. We're constantly confronted with 'fake news' and an overload of information, so it's not surprising we've seen a breakdown in trust in many big and familiar institutions. It's hard to know who to trust when each days seems to bring news of another betrayal.

The NRMA is now one of the most trusted brands in the country. We know we need to earn that trust everyday. This means showing up every day where we are needed and just doing what needs to be done.

Cars still break down at inconvenient times and we attended over 1.7 million roadside jobs last year. Cars need servicing, and 120,000 drivers choose the NRMA to keep their running. We trained almost 7000 new drivers through NRMA Driver Training.

It's vital we teach our children how to stay safe on our roads and we recently celebrated the 250,000th student educated via our primary school program at the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.

We show up in Carinda (image above) and Lightning Ridge and get farm vehicles moving. And an amazing number of Members packed up their cars and toured country areas in response to the Open Road article 'Your road trip will support our farmers'.

It's the sort of help the NRMA has provided for almost a century.

We show up to fight for more transparency in fuel prices, we negotiate better deals on your behalf, and provide you with an alternative motoring choice by rolling out electric vehicle charging stations.

Our ferries are helping Sydneysiders get to work and school and back home again. And with our recent purchase of Fantasea Cruising, we are now looking to transport passengers by water from the central coast and beyond.

It happens every day some one wants to hire a car or stay in one of our parks or hotels. We employ exceptional people who do good things every day to help others. That's the culture of NRMA. Our Staff talk about 'bleeding blue'.

It's when a patrol takes Happy Meals to a roadside job for some hungry, impatient kids.

It's when our holiday park staff park your caravan for you after a long day's drive.

It's when the ferry stops to rescue a whale caught in a net.

Sometimes we don't get it right and rules get in the way. That's usually my fault and I will keep working on that so the team has the freedom it needs to always make good decisions for customers.

Culture is everything, and our incredible people will keep showing up every day to help you and keep earning your trust.
